TXT2Cure Program Available for Colorado Voters for the State Primary Election and CD-4 Congressional Vacancy Election
Denver, July 1, 2024 - Colorado voters with missing or discrepant signatures or ID deficiencies with their June 25 ballot must fix those issues by Wednesday, July 3. They can do so with TXT2Cure, available on their mobile phone.
“TXT2Cure is just one of the innovative tools that allows Coloradans to ensure their voice is heard,” said Secretary Griswold. “TXT2Cure enables Coloradans to easily fix a ballot issue like a rejected signature or missing ID, and is especially helpful for younger voters who have fewer signatures on file.”
County clerks will contact voters who have a signature or ID deficiency with information on how to fix it at their County Clerk’s Office or by using Txt2Cure. Voters enrolled in BallotTrax will also receive a message by either text message, email, or voice.
Colorado voters can correct these issues using a smartphone and the TXT2Cure program by texting the word Colorado to 2VOTE (28683) and clicking on the link they receive as a reply.
Txt2Cure is a program that Secretary Griswold expanded statewide in 2020. Since TXT2Cure was implemented statewide in the 2020 General Election, more than 32,000 voters have used the tool to ensure their vote was counted.
Secretary of State Jena Griswold is also reminding Coloradans of remaining important dates in the State Primary Election and CD-4 Congressional Vacancy Election. Upcoming key election dates include:
- July 3 – Last day for voters to correct a missing or discrepant signature, or ID deficiency.
- July 3 – Last day for military and overseas ballots to be received by county clerks.
- July 8 – Deadline for the Secretary of State’s Office to establish the 20-digit random seed for the bipartisan Risk Limiting Audit and notify counties of the ballots selected for audit.
- July 16 – Deadline for county audit boards to report results of the bipartisan Risk Limiting Audit to the Secretary of State’s Office.
- July 22 – First day the Secretary of State’s Office may certify the election.
