Gross, Larson Qualify for State Primary Ballot
Denver, March 25, 2020 - The Elections Division of the Colorado Secretary of State’s office announced today that Dave Gross, Democratic candidate for University of Colorado Regent for the 2nd Congressional District, and Colin Larson, Republican candidate for Colorado House of Representatives District 22, have each collected the required number of signatures to appear on their respective party’s June 30 State Primary ballot.
Candidates for University of Colorado Regent for a congressional district are required to collect 1,500 signatures (or 10% of votes cast in the last election, whichever is smaller) in their district, while candidates for state representative are required to collect 1,000 signatures (or 30% of votes cast in the last election) in their district, a requirement outlined by 1-4-801, C.R.S. Gross submitted 1,657 valid signatures, while Larson submitted 1,214, both clearing their respective thresholds.
