Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold Statement on Federal Election Security Funding Deal
Denver, December 17, 2019 – The following statement can be attributed to Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold regarding the potential federal election security funding deal:
“Election security is one of our top national security risks. We must protect our nation from the constantly evolving threats and ensure that every state is equipped to prevent cyberattacks on election infrastructure. If passed, the Congressional deal includes $425 million in election funding for states. Combined with a 20% state match, that adds up to $510 million to help states secure elections. I urge Congress to take this important step and help states protect U.S. elections.”
