Ballots Returned: Nov. 9, 2017
Colorado Secretary of State's office closed Friday
DENVER, Nov. 9, 2017 -- The Colorado Secretary of State's office will be closed Friday for Veterans Day so today's ballot tally will be the last for this week. So far, 1,190,953 ballots have been returned of the 3,233,532 ballots sent for Tuesday's coordinated election.
County clerks are still processing ballots, including asking voters who forgot to sign their ballots or whose signatures did not match ones on file to "cure" their ballots.

Several factors influenced turnout in this year's coordinated election. There was no statewide ballot measure, and six counties did not have any local issues so did not hold an election. And in some counties, voters who lived in districts without any issues or races did not participate. That includes some 50,000 voters in just Arapahoe County.
