Ballots Returned: Nov. 8, 2017
DENVER, Nov. 8, 2017 -- Although the election ended at 7 p.m. Tuesday, clerks are still tallying ballots, including those from overseas and military voters. In addition, some voters are being asked to verify their signatures before their ballot is officially counted.
Clerks issued 3,233,526 ballots. As of 7:16 this morning, 1,181,314 ballots were returned

Several factors influenced turnout in this year's coordinated election. There was no statewide ballot measure, and six counties did not have any local issues so did not hold an election. And in some counties, voters who lived in districts without any issues or races did not participate. That includes some 50,000 voters in just Arapahoe County.
