ACE feature allows closer examination of Colorado elections
DENVER, Nov. 24, 2015 -- ACE, a ground-breaking elections-data source from the Colorado Secretary of State’s Office, allows political junkies and number crunchers to take a closer look at the election that just ended.
The official voter turnout in the Nov. 3 election was 35.7 percent, according to figures released this week. ACE -- or Accountability in Colorado Elections -- allows for a closer look at voting turnout in all 64 counties by party registration, as well as examining voter methods, registration statistics and election costs.
“This is another example of how the Secretary of State’s Office works to make information easily available to the public at no charge,” Colorado Secretary of State Wayne Williams said. "No other state in the country offers this level of data in a publicly available format like ACE."
To look up ACE, go to the Secretary of State's website at www.sos.state.co.us. Click on ”Elections & Voting” and then “ACE.” In checking turnout by registration, to see the data for unaffiliated or third-party voters click on the “Choose Affiliation” button on the left side of the page.
