Denver, February 13, 2013 - Colorado Secretary of State Scott Gessler today released the Quarterly Business and Economic Indicators Report for the fourth quarter of 2012 (PDF). The report predicts sustained employment growth continuing well into 2013.
"Business filings increased again in the last part of 2012," Secretary Gessler said. "This bodes well for Colorado’s continued economic improvement, including continued employment growth."
This quarterly report completes the first year of reports released by the Secretary of State’s Office. The report is based on an analysis that found a strong correlation between new entity filings and total nonfarm employment. The forecast predicts year-over-year employment growth into 2013.
