Coffman unveils daily numbers at GoVoteColorado.com
Elections web page expands voter tools
Denver, October 21, 2008 – Today Secretary of State Mike Coffman announced expanded election reporting capabilities available through the state’s www.GoVoteColorado.com. Made possible by Colorado’s new statewide voter registration system (SCORE), members of the media and the general public will have access to daily tracking of numbers from mail ballots and early voting.
“Because of the cutting edge technology available through the SCORE system, Coloradans can now get a flavor of the early return numbers that were typically only provided by political parties and consultants,” said Coffman.
Many voters have already visited the site to verify their voter registration information by providing some basic information about themselves. That particular module has been upgraded to allow voters to review:
- Their district types,
- The status of their mail ballot,
- Early voting locations, and
- Election Day location(s).
In addition to verifying their own information, residents and members of the public can track daily numbers for:
- Voter registration by county and by party,
- Mail ballots sent,
- Mail ballots received, and
- Early voting turnout (total turn-out to date for the state)
These numbers will be updated every evening but do not reflect any election returns or tabulated votes.
