Secretary of State Urges Coloradoans to Register to Vote
Denver CO, October 9, 2006 – Secretary of State Gigi Dennis reminds Colorado’s citizens about tomorrow’s deadline to register to vote. The last day to register to vote for the November 7 General Election is Tuesday, October 10.
“If you are not registered to vote or have recently moved, please be sure to turn in or update your registration materials before tomorrow’s deadline,” Secretary of State Gigi Dennis said.
“Your participation in the election process is vital and I encourage all eligible voters to be sure to cast their ballot in this election,” Dennis added. “By visiting the Secretary of State’s website you may also obtain an absentee ballot application, information about volunteering to serve as an election judge, or participate in Colorado’s Vote in Honor of a Veteran campaign.”
Voter registration forms, available in both English and Spanish, can be obtained by going to the Secretary of State’s online voter information center at www.GoVoteColorado.com. Eligible voters are instructed to complete the voter registration application and return it to their local County Clerk and Recorder.
