Secretary of State's Office and Accenture Mutually Terminate Software Contract

Denver, December 29, 2005 - Accenture and the State of Colorado, acting through the Colorado Secretary of State, have mutually agreed to terminate the Statewide Colorado Registration and Election ("SCORE") Contract effective, December 28, 2005.

The agreement includes a release of claims and a refund for expenditures incurred on the system for $2.0 million.

The parties expressed disappointment that they could not come to terms on a revised implementation timeline.
