Secretary of State Donetta Davidson Announces Meeting With Attorney General, District Attorneys, and County Clerk and Recorders to Discuss Voter Registration Fraud Investigations
Denver, October 15, 2004 - Secretary of State Donetta Davidson has called a meeting to gather the Attorney General, District Attorneys, and County Clerk and Recorders concerning investigations into alleged voter registration fraud. The meeting will take place on Sunday, October 17, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. at 200 East 14th Avenue, Legislative Services Building, Hearing Room A.
"A fraudulent vote that nullifies a legal one, disenfranchises the legal voter as surely as if his or her vote had never been cast at all," Donetta Davidson said.
"The protection of the integrity of our electoral process is my most solemn responsibility and I take this responsibility very seriously. I am determined to make sure everything is being done to investigate voter registration fraud and guarantee the citizens of Colorado a fair and accurate election," Davidson said.
The press and any political party are welcome to attend the meeting.
