Elections Security Specialist (Hybrid) Closing 7/04/2024 11:59 PM Mtn

In this role, you will be a valued member of the Elections Security Team. You will collaborate with counties to assess current election security status for county offices and voting service and polling centers (VSPC) and make recommendations for improvement or referrals for assistance. You will also collaborate with various CDOS (Colorado Department of State) teams to improve the state and counties’ security and readiness in cyber and physical security, Personnel and Privacy protections, insider threats, and mail ballot processing.

Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) - Cyber Security V Closing 7/09/2024 11:59 PM Mtn

As the Chief Information Security Officer, you will lead and be a valued member of the Information Security Team, which provides security policies, guidance, training, and cybersecurity support to the Department as well as the 64 county election offices. You will help support the State of Colorado cybersecurity program, promote cybersecurity throughout the State, including Colorado business and elections, maintain the Agency Cybersecurity Plan (ACSP), incident response plan, Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance, and other security policies and procedures, as well as be responsible for network and systems cybersecurity for cloud and virtual infrastructure, the centralized voter registration system, election's systems, web services, network, servers, and desktops.

The ideal candidate will be a critical and insightful thinker with strong problem-solving skills. To succeed in this role, it is important that you have extensive cybersecurity knowledge, with a demonstrated understanding of the complex and diverse threats that a government agency with sensitive data can be exposed to.
