The title as designated and fixed by the Board is as follows:
A change to the Colorado Revised Statutes concerning notification to the federal department of homeland security if law enforcement cannot determine if a person charged or released from confinement post-conviction is lawfully present in the United States, and, in connection therewith, requiring law enforcement to make a reasonable effort to determine if a person charged with a violent crime, a person charged with any crime with a prior felony conviction, or a person released from confinement after conviction if they have a prior felony conviction is lawfully in the United States; and if law enforcement does not make a determination of lawful presence the federal department of homeland security must be notified.
