The title as designated and fixed by the Board is as follows:
DISTRICT TAXES SHALL BE INCREASED BY $300 MILLION ANNUALLY IN 1 ORDER TO INCREASE OR IMPROVE LEVELS OF PUBLIC SERVICE PROVIDED 2 THROUGH PROPERTY TAXES BY A CHANGE TO THE COLORADO REVISED 3 STATUTES CREATING A CONDITIONAL INCREASE IN THE ASSESSMENT RATE FOR 4 CERTAIN NONRESIDENTIAL PROPERTY, AND, IN CONNECTION THEREWITH, FOR 5 PROPERTY TAX YEARS BEGINNING ON OR AFTER JANUARY 1, 2026, IN WHICH THE 6 LOCAL SHARE OF THE TOTAL STATEWIDE FUNDING FOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS FALLS 7 BELOW 50%, INCREASING THE ASSESSMENT RATE ON CERTAIN NONRESIDENTIAL 8 PROPERTY TO 32% OF THE ACTUAL VALUE OF THE PROPERTY, AND EXEMPTING 9 FROM THE INCREASED ASSESSMENT RATE “SMALL BUSINESS PROPERTY” AS 10 DEFINED IN THE MEASURE.
