Additional information

Small-scale issue committees (SSIC) are not required to file disclosure reports until they exceed $5,000 in activity.

Types of supplemental reports are large dollar and time-sensitive reports that may be required depending on your activity (please contact your municipal clerk for additional details):

24-hour notice of major contributor report period starts 30-days before both the Primary and General elections and ends the day before each election. If you receive a $1,000 or more contribution during these time periods you are required to file an additional report, within 24-hours of receipt of the contribution, that provides details about the contribution, including the name of the contributor (and their occupation and employer information). These reports do not apply to PCs, 527s, and IECs.

48-hour notice of independent expenditure report period starts 30-days before both the Primary and General elections and ends the day before each election. Independent Expenditures of $1,000 or more, made during these time periods requires you to file an additional report providing details of the Independent Expenditure(s). This applies only to Independent Expenditure Committees (IEC). Please contact your municipal clerk’s office for more information on these two types of reports.

Electioneering communication (EC) time period starts on May 26, 2024 (30 days before the Primary Election) and continues through November 4, 2024 (the day before the General Election). Any communication that meets the EC criteria is marked on your regular report as an EC and includes additional information about the transaction that includes a description of the communication, type of communication, dates and times of the communication, and candidates unambiguously mentioned or referred to in the communication. EC reports do not apply to Issue Committees.
