Special District Election: May 3, 2022
Special District Election questions should be directed to the Designated Election Official or the Department of Local Affairs. Campaign Finance questions should be directed to the Secretary of State’s office.
Required reports - The following types of unscheduled reports are also required:
- 24-Hour Notice of Major Contributor (MC) and 48-Hour Notice of Independent Expenditure (IC) reports - these periods occur 30 days before both the June 28, 2022 Primary Election and the November 8, 2022 General Election.
- MC reports do not apply to PCs, 527s and IECs
- IE reports only apply to IECs
Small-Scale Issue Committees (SSIC) only file disclosure reports once they exceed $5,000 in aggregate activity and are then subject to the disclosure requirements of 1-45-108, C.R.S.

This calendar applies to (Refer to Campaign Finance Rule 17):
- Candidates and candidate committees whose office appears on the May 3, 2022 Special District Election ballot
Note: Filing is only required when more than $200 in the aggregate is raised or spent - Issue Committees whose issue attempts access to or appears on the May 3, 2022 Special District Election ballot
- All other active special district committees (political and small donor committees, 527 political organizations, independent expenditure committees) whose candidates or issues attempts access to or appears on the May 3, 2022 Special District Election ballot

- Issue committees whose issue does not attempt access to or appear on the May 3, 2022 Special District Election ballot
An annual report must be filed by committees that remain open (i.e. those not yet terminated) no later than the first business day of the month in which the anniversary of the election occurs.
