In an effort to protect individual privacy, online access to most images of UCC, EFS, and other lien documents has been suspended. The Office of the Secretary of State (“SOS”) is currently in the process of redacting SSNs in order to restore full online access to imaged documents.

Images of paper-filed documents submitted on or after March 28, 2007, and e-filed documents submitted on or after March 30, 2007 are available online. A UCC-11 Information Request form must be submitted to obtain copies of any other UCC, EFS, and lien documents.

The UCC-11 Information Request form is available by selecting “Business Home” from the left menu bar and then selecting the “UCC and EFS forms” link under the UCC Information heading. For current copy fees, please refer to the “Fee schedule” under the “General Information” heading in the Business Center.

The Business Division is currently experiencing processing delays due to a significant increase in the number of information requests received. The average processing time is now 7-10 business days. Please note that fax return and expedited service are not available for UCC search or copy requests.
