Purpose/Objective of Rule |
The federal 10(j) rule authorizes the take of wolves caught “in the act of attacking” livestock or working dogs. In May 2023, the Parks and Wildlife Commission adopted a state regulation defining “in the act of attacking.” In doing so, the Commission inadvertently omitted “or working dogs” from part of the state definition. The purpose of this emergency rulemaking is to align CPW’s rule W-10:1000.D.2 definition of “in the act of attacking” with the federal 10(j) rule definition |
