OIT is preparing to repeal these rules, necessary to reduce duplication and confusion. OIT established rules in support of the public safety communications trust fund to govern the fund and the administration of distributions and repayment. As of July 1, 2023 and in accordance with House Bill 22-1353, the public safety communications functions and trust fund transferred from OIT to CDPS. New rules at CDPS became effective in Jan. 2024 to govern the trust fund, 8 CCR 1507-30 Public Safety Communications Trust Fund. Maintaining the obsolete rules at OIT would cause confusion and is no longer authorized; it is therefore necessary for OIT to repeal them. |
