| Purpose/Objective of Rule |
The basis for the revision of the following rule is C.R.S. 25-5-704 (1) (a).
There is a current requirement in the Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board?s rules that requires a system that senses the position of the rope to be installed on each sheave unit. This requirement was adopted by the Board on May 15, 1994 for all detachable ropeways built after May 15, 1994.
When this rule was last revised in 2010, the requirement stated ?Prior to May 15, 1994?. This is incorrect. The requirements that are currently in rule are the requirements that were in place from May 15, 1994 to May 15, 2006 NOT prior to May 15, 1994.
Therefore, the purpose for the revision of Rule 3.1.3.3.2 (g) Sheave and sheave unit design is to correct the date error in the rule and add in the actual requirements that were in effect prior to May 15, 2004. |
